North West Book Artists

North West Book Artists................ a co-operative group of practicing artists of mixed disciplines who have a particular interest in book art.

We meet once a month on the first Saturday morning of the month in
Liverpool Central Library, 4th Floor, 10.30am

We are a mix of experienced  artists and those who are new to the discipline.  Meetings include :

making sessions,
talks and practical work,
an enthusiastic  sharing of ideas and experience.

Members come from various artistic pathways, including printmaking, textiles, calligraphy and paper art. We all share our knowledge freely.

The Library is  a good central meeting place for our members, some of whom travel quite a distance from Cheshire and Lancashire.   The library is fully accessible and has a cafe on the ground floor for drinks and snacks.

The group began in 2015 following the relocation of one of our members from the Welsh Marches where she was a member of the Marches Book Arts Group (Mbag)

In the early days we  received generous support  from Simon Ryder of   Liverpool Book Arts  and Olwen McCloughlin at  EDITIONS   Gallery.

Members have exhibited in Liverpool and more widely at specialist book fairs. Their books are also often available to buy, so if you see something you especially like, please contact us for more information.

New members are welcome to join us. We have no annual membership fee at present, but pay a monthly meeting fee of £5 which covers the cost of our meeting.
