Wallpaper paste Painting

section of paste paper

We all enjoyed getting slightly messy and making paste papers this month. Interestingly, some of the more experimental papers were the most admired, and we all had plenty to take home. Cartridge paper works very well for insert sheets, and copier paper for wrappers, but the slightly stronger copier paper, say 90 gsm, was easier to handle.

We also shared our most recent work, including books on the theme of travel.

Our next theme for December and January is ‘Windows’.

****December meeting****
At our December meeting it was agreed that we should have a ‘bring and buy’ session ( anything welcome from books to jam !) .....to raise a little financial cushion.  This year has seen lower in numbers attending regularly due to Covid, train and bus disruption... Please price your ‘brings’ before the meeting.

We’ll also be making small lanterns prepared by Chris for hanging on the tree, and all bring the usual nibbles.

Marilyn has booked the same room that we have used this year for the whole of 2023 as it seems to suit our current needs very well.

We have a demonstration workshop booked at Cass Art for after our January session. Probably 1 sheet wonders as it’s a free session.
