Brag Book

Chris led us this session in making a small hinged structure for holding photos, or artwork of any kind. Much origami folding was featured, and for this book it seems that a lightweight paper rather than anything more subtantial is better.

Many thanks to Chris for her patience.

Members brought books for our Atkinson display case. We shall have 10 all together, and a page of our own in the catalogue, so great PR for us.   The Sefton Open is a very large exhibition and gets plenty of visitors.

Marilyn has also been talking to Tina from Knowsley about the Crafted exhibition in October, where we have a guaranteed space and don’t need to apply. Small editions and books from various price points are requested, and we have offered to run a workshop.

There are also initial diacussions taking place about a further exhibition in January 2024, when the Magellan scroll may get its first showing.

We saw some other great work that members had been working on,  including some new binding ideas possible for demonstration later in the year. Our new theme is “Small”, running for the next two months and beyond.
